Tiny loop Petal - step by step

Tiny loop petal - step by step

You can use any color combination as per your creative mind says..... or it can be the same color as per the color you would like your flower to be...........

  • Take two or three shades of colored paper strips - light to dark
  • Cut as per the requirement of the length you would like it to be in increasing lengths.
  • Using one end of the comb take the strip of paper thru each teeth in alternative direction, then bringing it down to come to the other side of the comb to make the loops to form on both sides.

  •  Take the strip of paper thru each teeth in alternative direction to form the tiny loop, send it thru the next teeth and bring it down and and take it to the other side....
  •  Take the strip of paper thru each teeth in alternative direction to form the tiny loop, send it thru the next teeth and bring it down and and take it to the other side....
  • Make the loops in both directions......

  • As you get to the end of the strip.... you take the strip of the paper, you have to bring it down to secure the loops, instead of forming a loop so that the tiny loops you have made with the alternative directions will be in-tact, it will not come out and fall apart.

  • After you have wrapped two or three folds with the final color in this case (it all depends how many warps you want or color combination or the same color - if you want your petal to be in one color) you can remove the petal from the comb. (make sure at least one fold of wrap around is given.... if not the tiny loops within will not stay intact).
  •  Squeeze the bottom of the petal cut out any excess strip or tear it, (just pinching and tearing the paper gives a better finish than cutting, as it will blend with the paper and doesn't show the end of the paper strip) apply a tiny bit of glue and press and hold for a second or two for it to get pasted thoroughly.
  • And there you go.... you're done with the tiny loop petal.....
  • You can also use this same method for the leaves....
  • The flower bellow is done with a comb which has teeth with a big gap.

  • Different colors with different sizes of combs.

  • I love these two color combinations!!!

  • Aren't they beautiful?
